During a recent visit to African Lion Safari in Cambridge, Ontario, I had a profound encounter that instantly reminded me of the core essence of universal life force energy, and Reiki energy healing.
While driving through the game reserves, a monkey jumped onto our vehicle. It climbed down, pressed its hand flat against the glass car window, and looked straight into my eyes and greeting my littlest to her utmost glee. Instinctively, she and I placed our hands exactly opposite theirs.
Window glass separated us physically. Yet, the energetic connection was instantaneous, sweet, and deeply spiritual.
As a certified Reiki practitioner, this breathtaking moment struck a chord. It perfectly illustrated how Reiki energy healing transcends physical barriers, bringing us back to a state of universal oneness.
This unexpected wildlife connection beautifully mirrors the way energy transfer works during a distance or hands-on healing session.

The thick glass window of the safari vehicle seemed like an impenetrable wall. However, intention and presence completely bypassed it. In Usui Reiki, we learn that the physical world is an illusion. Note for travelers. We have been going to the African Lion Safari for years and it never ceases to provide us with beautiful memories. Today we went on a cloudy day and found the animals more engaged. We did see one Lexus opening it's window to feed the animals even though there are signs posted.
