The Final Bell Rings! Last Day of School

As the school doors close today, we embrace a mix of excitement and a touch of overwhelm. For our kids, it's the start of summer adventures, for moms and dads, it's juggling a new routine. But amidst it all, let's find the joy in every giggle, every splash, every lazy morning, every new camp friend made.

Summer is a perfect time to take up an on-line course. Engaging in educational activities during the summer can help prevent the "summer slide," where students lose focus and clarity to concentrate on study material.

Summer is also a great time to develop valuable skills like problem-solving and critical thinking. Burlington's John T. Tuck student Jessica writes, "to learn how to be a duck and let what you don't want to hear in the schoolyard wash over my body!" That's what Let it go with REIKI's Reiki for Kids course taught Jessica. She had been experiencing some bullying and her Mom purchased the course to empower her: "Understanding where she was feeling overwhelm in her body and learning exercises to support her big feelings were invaluable, my little was showing me how to breathe to 'let it go.' And, dance for joy! Thanks, Calah." Online courses offer the flexibility to learn at one's own pace with no pressure for starts and finishes which allows kids to balance learning with summer fun!

Continuing a learning routine helps maintain a sense of structure, which can be beneficial for transitioning back to school in the Fall. Many Moms and kids take Reiki Level I and II during the summer months because they know it includes a Reiki water segment poolside.

Here's to ice cream cones, late nights, harmony, sandy toes and empowering our children! And, when September comes, we'll be ready for new beginnings. Until then, let's make memories that will last a lifetime.
