While many excellent, high-integrity practitioners work independently outside of formal organizations, membership in a body like the Canadian Reiki Association (CRA) offers an added layer of peace of mind for those new to energy work, as it ensures the practitioner has undergone a third-party verification of their training and ethics. While membership in CRA, provides an immediate "seal of approval" and ethical oversight, many talented, heart-centered practitioners choose to work independently.
